On this episode of the College Climate Collective, we explore food and its connection to the climate movement. In recent years, we’ve seen food choice become commodified as a trend. Sidney and Divya share their experiences with food intake and how it intersects with religion, passion, and intention. While popular options include veganism or vegetarianism, the girls present alternative options that are more approachable.

On this episode of the College Climate Collective, we discuss greenwashing as corporate performative activism, using two examples of companies from two different industries. First, Natalie leads a conversation discussing Coca Cola’s Dasani “plantbottles” as an example of greenwashing to justify a product that is inherently unsustainable. Next, Skye looks into greenwashing in the fast fashion industry, using H&M as an example of a fast fashion company with a complicated history of performative activism.
